With all the craziness of last week a few promotional pieces were missed from the gallery. I’ve added one extra still from the pilot and two HQ promotional posters! I’ve also added a photoshoot of Paul to the gallery, its the only one I can find so if anyone has more photoshoots of Paul please let us know.

Kevin Williamson has been set to write and produce The Vampire Diaries! Williamson is most known for his work on Dawson’s Creek, but he also worked on I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream! I’m guessing this means that writing is well under way! I can’t wait too see if Williamson follows the story in the books somewhat or if he gives us something completely new!
The Examiner – Kevin Williamson, Dawson’s Creek series creator, is back on the CW. Williamson will be writing and producing a new show called, “The Vampire Diaries,” for next season. Williamson has been trying to come back to the small screen for a couple of years.

Two new videos of Nina and Paul being interviewed at the Upfront have popped up! I have capped them both and added the screen caps to the gallery. Both Nina and Paul seem very excited about the show, Paul chats about Stefan’s goodness but admits that even Stefan may make some mistakes along the way … ;] Nina chats about the current vampire ‘craze’ and how TVD has been around a lot longer than Twilight. In 2007 Nina starred in “My Daughters Secret” as Justine. Screen captures from the movie have been added to the gallery. Coming up are screen captures from “Never Cry Werewolf“, so keep checking back for those!

The CW television network is keeping a laser focus on teenage girls and young women with an abbreviated fall lineup that features vampires, tormented models and 1990s flashbacks.
The small network hopes that niche appeal is the key to survival in a tough market. The CW will stop programming on Sunday nights and has cast aside all comedy in favor of scripted dramas with female appeal and “America’s Next Top Model.”
“Privileged,” “Everybody Hates Chris” and “The Game” have ended, the CW said Thursday.
With bloodsuckers all the rage, the CW will launch a Thursday night show based on the book series, “The Vampire Diaries.” Two vampire brothers — one good, sexy and brooding, the other bad, sexy and brooding — compete for the attention of one high school girl.
“As everyone knows, chicks dig the vampires,” said actor Stefan Salvatore, who plays the good one. Read the rest of this entry »

Welcome to Vampire Diaries Web, a brand new fansite dedicated to the upcoming CW series “The Vampire Diaries.” The show launches this fall and we have a sneaky feeling that it’ll be a big hit; our aim is to keep you guys in-the-know about what we think will be your favourite new show by year’s end!
