Ian May Return to Lost

Before he joined ‘Vampire Diaries’, Ian Somerhalder was part of a little known show called Lost. I’m sure you haven’t heard of it lol… Anyway, as the show enters it’s final season, apparently Ian could return for a guest appearance as Boone:

The exec producer of Ian Somerhalder’s new CW series, The Vampire Diaries, is close friends with Lost exec producer Damon Lindelof. So when he’s not sucking blood in the South, Ian may reappear on the island as Boone. While apartment hunting in Atlanta, where Diaries shoots, with his new on-screen vampire brother Paul Wesley, Ian tells me, “I’ve heard a little bit about what’s happening this season on Lost, and there’s definitely an avenue they’re going down to bring back a lot of us.”

Any crossover [with] Lost would “only help the success of our show…as long as it’s not screwing up production,” Ian says. So what if Boone, Shannon, Charlie and the rest of Lost’s “living dead” turn out to be vampires? “That would not be good,” says the actor, who currently lives around the corner from Maggie Grace (Shannon) in Venice Beach. “There are already enough vampires flying around the airwaves. If we can keep it at True Blood, Twilight and Vampire Diaries, the world will be better off!”

The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall

Nightfall marks the start of a new chapter in The Vampire Diaries series. The Return is a sort of sub-series. This is the start of a new trilogy with the same characters, but a new focus in the story: Elena, the light beauty and the charming and her relationship with the powerful vampire of darkness, Damon. Stefan, the caring and more morally conscious vampire actually isn’t even in majority of the book. Nightfall was written over 15 years after the first book and there are obvious differences in both Smith’s growth as well as her characters. The style is similar, but more adult, dark, and everything is far more layered and complex.

Elena Gilbert was once human, but when she died, she came back as a vampire from sharing the blood of both vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon. She gave her life to save theirs and was an angel that watched over her friends, helping warn them about the trouble to come despite interferences from her after death tormentor. Now she has miraculously come back as a human. However, she seems to still have hung on to some of her supernatural instincts and is a spirit child now. Elena can’t talk and doesn’t remember how to do anything she did as a human, she has truly been born again. Stefan works with her to remember anything she can. They do communicate through telepathy although Elena’s thoughts are somewhat jumbled. She often floats in the air and kisses those she sees to put the memory of them in her mind. TV Over Mind Review

TVOverMind have posted a very detailed review of the pilot. If you do not want to know in depth information about whats going to happen, please don’t read :]. @julieplec had just tweeted that she has the draft for 101! Can’t wait for September!

TVOverMind – The bottom line is, though, just like the Almond Roca I found something about The Vampire Diaries intriguing. Maybe something about the shamelessly superficial characters twanged my long dead inner teenager, maybe I suffer from a ‘fascination with all things vampire’ myself, or maybe it was the well-executed post-modern Goth-look. Whatever it was, I have no doubt that I’ll return to The Vampire Dairies week after week to try to and figure it out. Read More…

Also, just to let you all know that I’m off on vacation for a week today, but Hayley and Melanie are still here to keep you up to date with TVD ;]
