The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Nina has been cast in a new movie titled Deathgames, along site Twilight’s Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), and Samuel L. Jackson! Sounds interesting, it will be nice to see Nina explore other roles :]

The story centers on a young man (Lutz) who is kidnapped and forced into the savage world of a modern gladiator arena, where men fight to the death for entertainment of the online masses in games orchestrated by Jackson.

Dobrev is playing Lutz’s wife.

Ian Somerhalder will star in Cradlewood, a low-budget indie described as a “romantic gothic fairy tale”.

The former Lost actor will play the heir to a large fortune in a bloodline cursed by a demon. When his Australian girlfriend falls pregnant, he begins to fear for his life because each father in his family has died after having a son.

Emma Lung, who appears in the upcoming The Boys Are Back, has been cast as Somerhalder’s girlfriend.

Harry Weinmann will direct Cradlewood from an idea he hatched with screenwriters Stephen Sewell and John Paul Chapple. Michael Shane and David Redman are producing the film, which will shoot in Melbourne.

“We see this is as almost like an American-style Pan’s Labyrinth in look and feel,” Shane told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s a perfect segue for the kids who have outgrown Twilight but want something romantic and scary. Our monster will be quite terrifying; she is sexually attractive and monstrous at the same time.” [Source]

Before he joined ‘Vampire Diaries’, Ian Somerhalder was part of a little known show called Lost. I’m sure you haven’t heard of it lol… Anyway, as the show enters it’s final season, apparently Ian could return for a guest appearance as Boone:

The exec producer of Ian Somerhalder’s new CW series, The Vampire Diaries, is close friends with Lost exec producer Damon Lindelof. So when he’s not sucking blood in the South, Ian may reappear on the island as Boone. While apartment hunting in Atlanta, where Diaries shoots, with his new on-screen vampire brother Paul Wesley, Ian tells me, “I’ve heard a little bit about what’s happening this season on Lost, and there’s definitely an avenue they’re going down to bring back a lot of us.”

Any crossover [with] Lost would “only help the success of our show…as long as it’s not screwing up production,” Ian says. So what if Boone, Shannon, Charlie and the rest of Lost’s “living dead” turn out to be vampires? “That would not be good,” says the actor, who currently lives around the corner from Maggie Grace (Shannon) in Venice Beach. “There are already enough vampires flying around the airwaves. If we can keep it at True Blood, Twilight and Vampire Diaries, the world will be better off!”
