In a detailed new interview with LA Times, Paul Wesley talks about Stefan and the Vampire Diaries. He also goes on to talk about Stefan’s relation with Damon, and what he anticipates if Katherine comes back. The interviewer also gets him to talk about the Civil War-era and Paul talks about the chemistry he has with Ian and Nina, and a lot more!

I can’t imagine Damon as a normal, functioning brother.
Exactly. But maybe not a sociopath, maybe not psychotic. When you go to the flashback, it breaks my heart sometimes. I think about their relationship, and it’s so beautiful. They loved each other so much back then.
t’s become clear that Stefan isn’t as hung up on Katherine, romantically, as Damon is. When that tomb finally gets opened, if Katherine comes back, do you think Stefan wants to see her again?
I’ve thought about that so much, but I don’t know if I have a definitive answer for you. He’s in love with Elena; that’s his true love. No doubt about it. Still, there’s always something to be said about that ex-girlfriend who created such a lasting impression in your mind. Even if you know she’ll be somewhere, and you’re like, “Uh-oh!” it’ll still be kind of interesting to see her.
Last week Nina [Dobrev] told me that her favorite episode was “The Lost Girls.” Do you have a favorite episode or scene?“The Turning Point.” It was a really beautiful episode for Stefan and Elena. The moment where he turns around because he’s ashamed of his face — the blood is rushing through his eyes, his veins are popping out — he’s terrified, and he hates himself for it. He runs from that part of himself, but she turns him around and tells him not to be afraid. She touches his face, and she thinks he’s beautiful. It’s so intimate, that moment, because she accepts the darkest part of him.

Most of you must have by now seen Unpleasantville, and still under the spell of the one-of-a-kind episode.
Hollywood Crush posted a video where Katerina Graham talks about the hidden meaning behind all the ’50s costume-and-drama.
Kat explains that the decade theme will play a pivotal role for the ladies in the episode, noting that they are “traveling back in time” (for the school dance) with purpose. “That episode has a lot to do about strength and finding your voice as a women, and I like that they paralleled that with the 50′s,” she said. “During that time a lot of that was going on, and I think it was just a brilliant script and brilliant episode to shoot.”
“It’s about finding your voice,” she continued. “You know Bonnie’s actually pretty bold in that episode and so is Elena and so is Caroline. I think for me, when I read the script, I noticed the parallels between the actual 50′s era versus kind of having that modern day strength of a woman.”

In a new article at Hollywood Crush, Steven R. McQueen who plays Jeremy Gilbert in the Vampire Diaries talks about “dude bonding”. In a similar interview, Katerina Graham had also once talked to HC about how the girls of VD bond with each other.
Steven confirmed that the guys all hang out too. In fact, the boys took a road trip to Ohio two weekends ago to see a playoff football game. “We drove up there, which was let’s say about a nine-hour drive from Atlanta, just for the game. [We were] in the freezing cold, sat in the bleachers, then drove right back.”
Since the show will continue shooting until April, Steven said he’s sure there will be more bonding adventures. “I’m sure a couple of lake trips will be in there, maybe even another football game trip.” Since most of the cast members aren’t actually from Atlanta, where “VD” is filmed, Steven said they’ve gotten very close. “Coming from LA and from Vancouver and being in a place that we all weren’t very used to, it’s really caused us to bond like a family.”
