Remember to tune into the CW tonight for the third episode of Vampire Diaries, “Friday Night’s Bite”. @julieplec has tweeted that its one of her favourite episodes so it should be great! Yesterday it was announced that due to the current success of The Vampire Diaries the CW had decided to order more episodes! Looks like we may be getting a full 22 episode season!
The Live Feed – The CW’s freshman breakout “The Vampire Diaries” is edging closer to a full-season pickup. The network ordered nine additional scripts for the show, which is the closest step executives can take without committing to a full pickup.
Also Elena and Stefan are up for Hollywoods Hottest Fall Couple so vote for them now!

The kids of DeGrassi grow up so fast these days.
This time last year, Nina Dobrev was still a day player on the Canadian teen drama DeGrassi: The Next Generation , which conveniently filmed in her hometown of Toronto. Today, she’s 1,200 kilometres away in Atlanta and starring in The Vampire Diaries (CTV, Thursdays, 8 p.m.), already tagged as the first hit series of the fall season. Dobrev, who also has a role in Atom Egoyan’s new film Chloe , does not play a vampire in the TV show, but she has, by necessity, become a creature of the night.
“With a vampire show come the night shoots and the long hours,” says a weary Dobrev, speaking from Atlanta where the series is filmed. “ DeGrassi had a large ensemble cast, so we wouldn’t shoot every day and, because it was a high-school show, most of the scenes were shot during the day. On this show, we start late on Monday and every day we push later and later. By Friday night, sometimes we end up shooting until 4 or 5 a.m. on Saturday morning.” (more…)

Explaining she’s a new fan of Atlanta, she took a few minutes to chat about her character on the show and what it’s like to work with Kevin Williamson.
The show is set in high school in the small town of Mystic Falls, tell me about your character:Vicki is the bad girl, she’s the slutty one–every small town has one. She has no girlfriends, and sleeps with all the men in her life. Each episode, all the sex, all the drugs revolve around Vicki, it’s fun to play the bad girl! The first time I read the script I knew I wanted to play her—its great to go places as an actress that you don’t allow yourself to go personally.
Also, for our Mexican reader, there’s a good news! The Vampire Diaries will make its debut in Mexico on 22nd October!

Spoiler TV have also posted a casting call for two new characters appearing in 1.07. I’m guessing these two will cause a lot of problems for Mystic Falls!
